The NNPC/TotalEnergies ETT Fellowship Program is a prestigious opportunity that allows select faculty members from Nigerian universities to spend a semester at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). This initiative is a collaboration between MISTI (MIT International Science and Technology Initiative), NNPC Limited, and TotalEnergies Upstream Nigeria Limited (TUPNI).
Objectives
The program aims to innovate engineering education and create impactful transformations in the Nigerian tertiary academic sphere. It supports the development of new curricula and teaching methods, positioning participants as change agents in their home institutions.
Eligibility Criteria
- Hold a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering, or Geophysics.
- Be a faculty member at a Nigerian university with at least a Lecturer One rank.
- Have a strong interest in curriculum development and teaching methodology.
Program Duration and Benefits
Selected fellows will join either the Spring 2024 (February-May) or Fall 2024 (September-December) semester at MIT. The fellowship covers travel, living expenses, and instructional materials.

Selection Process
