The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) is proud to present a unique opportunity for outstanding students from the Global South, post-Soviet states, and eastern and south-eastern European countries. Our scholarship programs are designed to foster academic excellence and promote the values of social democracy.

Scholarship Benefits

Our scholarships provide financial support to high-achieving students who demonstrate a commitment to the principles of social democracy. Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend of 830 EUR for Bachelor’s/Diplom/Magister/state examination programs or 850 EUR for Master’s programs. Additionally, health insurance costs are covered, and students with a child receive a family allowance of 276 EUR.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for an FES scholarship, candidates must be enrolled at a state or state-recognized higher education institution in Germany. Applicants should exhibit above-average academic performance and possess sufficient German language skills, equivalent to at least DSH level 2 or TestDaF level 4.
