Sussex Graduate Scholarship: A £3,000 Tuition Fee Reduction

Are you a Sussex graduate who wants to pursue a Masters degree at the same university? If so, you may be eligible for the Sussex Graduate Scholarship, a tuition fee reduction of £3,000 for 2024 Sussex graduates with a First Class or Upper Second Class Bachelors degree. This scholarship is available for both full-time and part-time eligible Masters courses starting in September 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be graduating from Sussex in 2024 with a First Class or Upper Second Class Bachelors degree
  • Have accepted an offer of a place on an eligible Masters course, either part time or full time, to start in September 2024
  • Not be receiving another University of Sussex scholarship or funding from a research council or other external source
  • Not be studying one of the excluded courses listed below

Excluded Courses

You are not eligible for this scholarship if you are going to study any of the following:

  • Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
  • Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
  • Courses at IDS
  • Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
  • Degrees in Social work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
  • Online courses
  • School direct teaching courses
  • Masters funded by the research councils (e.g. ESRC 1+3 funding)

How to Apply

You can register your interest in the Sussex Graduate Scholarship via the PG Apply portal when you accept our offer of a place on an eligible Masters course. If you have applied via one of our overseas representatives, you will need to ask them to do this on your behalf. You must declare your interest in the scholarship via PG Apply before you register on your Masters degree.

A: There is no limit to the number of scholarships available. All eligible applicants who register their interest will receive the scholarship.

A: The deadline to apply is 30 September 2024 23:59.

Q: How will I know if I have been awarded the scholarship?

A: You will see confirmation of the scholarship when you register for your chosen Masters in September. If you require a visa to study at Sussex, the scholarship and fee reduction will be included on your CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Study), provided by Admissions for your visa application.

Q: Can I combine this scholarship with other scholarships or funding?

A: No, you cannot combine this scholarship with another University of Sussex scholarship or funding from a research council or other external source. However, you may be eligible for other scholarships for specific Masters courses, up to £10,000 in value. You can search for these scholarships using our database.
