Fellowship Overview

The PATA Fellowship, supported by WFSA and in collaboration with the Nigerian Society of Anaesthetists and global partners such as Smile Train and Vanderbilt University Medical Centre, offers two 12-month positions starting September 2024. This program is designed to provide fellows with hands-on experience and teaching from both local faculty and visiting specialists.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Endorsement by their national anaesthesiology society, a member society of the WFSA.
  • Support from their head of department or hospital management.
  • Commitment to return to their home country to a recognized post, preferably in a teaching hospital.

Application Process

Prospective fellows must apply through the Online Application Platform, selecting the ‘PATA Abuja Fellowship 2024’ under the ‘Fellowships’ category. The application requires the following documents:

  • Letters of recommendation from the national anaesthesiology society and head of department or hospital management
